Suzanne comes to the recruiting industry with a background in direct sales and experience as both an internal and agency recruiter.
How it Started
Suzanne started her career as a sales development representative (SDR) at a tech company which grew into managing sales development teams. As a manager she learned how to build a team from the ground up and she received training in the DISC behavior profile assessment, discovering how to recognize behavioral and personality styles. She realized how applicable this is in creating a successful sales environment and as a tool to evaluate new talent.
Selling Technology
Suzanne moved into direct sales and loved the freedom, flexibility, and opportunity to make a great income. While in sales, Suzanne was a true ‘hunter’, identifying new logos and landing opportunities with Microsoft, NBC, Sony, Intuit, and others selling marketing technology. She worked with marketing executives to meet their online revenue goals by finding ideal solutions for their needs.
Started Her Own Business
After years on the road— she wanted something different and hoped to start her own business. After watching her parents build their own executive recruiting firm she had a good sense that she’d enjoy it. In 2014, she started Seek, which specializes in placing sales professionals at technology companies with a focus in the MarTech industry.
The Latest
Suzanne missed the daily interaction with others and was curious as to how things worked on the other side of the table, so when the opportunity presented itself to join a hyper-growth tech startup as a sales recruiter she jumped on it. Suzanne finds it gratifying to see the influence of her hard work and the direct benefits it brings to the sales organization. She hasn’t looked back since.
